We all feel low at times but then suddenly thinking about what could have been worse, we start feeling OK. For example, imagine a big Semi truck hits your parked car and destroys it. You might be shattered to see your loving car as a pile of wreckage and won’t be able to take it. Now imagine that your car was hit just seconds after you got off it, then you might be thankful to god for you are still alive. The car is damaged in both cases, but in the second case it doesn’t bother you as much. What’s different in these two scenerios ? Just thinking about the worse that could have happened comforts you. Imagine if you had actually experienced the worse. Would you be able to handle such situations better ?

Sometimes your happiness, sorrows, emotions etc. depend upon your past experiences. You will probably appreciate your current situation if you had seen the worse. Here are few examples:

 

  • You must have seen poverty to appreciate the value of money.

 

  • You must have seen draught to appreciate the value of water.

 

  • You must have seen hunger to appreciate the value of food.

 

  • You must have seen depression to appreciate the value of joy.

 

  • You must have seen illness to appreciate the value of good health.

 

  • You must have seen failure to appreciate the value of success.

 

  • You must have seen lies to appreciate the value of truth.

 

  • You must have seen war to appreciate the value of peace.

 

  • You must have seen hatred to appreciate the value of love.

 

  • You must have seen rudeness to appreciate the value of politeness.

 

  • You must have seen betrayal to appreciate the value of loyalty.

 

              ………… and now a bonus:

 

  • You must have seen an Ass Hole to appreciate the value of a gentleman.
